Aletta’s journey is a tapestry woven with diverse experiences, embodying a profound commitment to the well-being of others. Born in Namibia, South West Africa, she currently serves as a dedicated Counsellor, steering her own practice, ABC Counselling.
In her private practice, Aletta specialises in Couples Counselling, crafting success stories marked by significant relational growth. She forges genuine connections with her clients, offering unwavering support for their emotional and mental health.
A passionate advocate for training, Aletta has contributed her expertise to impactful initiatives. She played a pivotal role in AEC Casual Training during the 2023 Referendum and led the training of polling officials for the Dawson Electorate.
Aletta’s managerial prowess shone during her tenure as Branch Manager at Axiom College, where she nurtured a people-oriented culture. In this role, she not only oversaw branch operations but also build strong ties with the community.
Her excellence extends to the realm of education, where Aletta served as a Trainer and Assessor at Axiom College. Recognised as a Finalist at the Queensland Training Awards in 2022, she combined face-to-face training with a successful YouTube channel. Her commitment to education is underscored by a remarkable 96% completion rate in the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program.
Before her counseling and training roles, Aletta dedicated nearly 30 years to aged care. Specialising in Dementia, she served as an Individual Support Worker/Assistant in Nursing at various esteemed facilities globally. Her pride lies in delivering quality care, maintaining high standards, and inspiring her team to do the same.
Beyond her professional roles, Aletta’s diverse experiences include managing ACE Home-School in Namibia for eight years, showcasing her teaching and entrepreneurial skills. She was also a successful business owner from 1999 to 2017, highlighting her versatility and leadership.
Aletta’s educational journey includes a CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling from Aurora Training, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from CQ University Mackay, and various certifications in Aged Care, Community Services, and Disability Support. Her commitment to ongoing learning is evident in her current studies and being in her second year at Charles Sturt University.
